Chitchat

Hello sun, thank you for coming back – things to be grateful for

Beginning of last week, I was quite tense and stressed out. Work has been at its busiest week so far with organising and designing multiple mock exams for our medical students and personal matters meant that it was going to be particularly stressful. But news we heard was of good news and the week has gone well.

On top of that, BoJo has given us some hopeful news, a date to be excited about. And he has not gone cray cray and opened everything up (thank fuck) too quickly. I appreciate a roadmap, it seems organised and detailed – some people say it’s confusing but I think more information the better and it doesn’t actually look like the worst thing he’s come up with considering the amount of garbage he has said in the past.

Annnnd the weather, oh Lord, thank goodness, the weather is better. It’s warmer. It’s brighter. Now I can’t sit on my bum all the time with triple screen on (apparently according to Kieran, who has double screen desktop set-up like a true Radiologist, my ‘triple screen’ (personal laptop, work laptop and TV screen in front – how else are you supposed to get through an audit project?!!) is just way too much). I will have to actually go outside and go jogging (nooooooo).

I have been working every single weekend so far though for 4 weeks in a row (voluntarily, as a locum) so I just need to tone that down now so I can have a weekend free to relax and enjoy the sunshine.
